Description: A mysterious woman (Scarlett Johansson) seduces lonely men in the evening hours in Scotland. Events lead her to begin a process of self-discovery.

Review: Scarlett Johansson doesn’t mind to step away from reality once in a while. She saves the world in “Avengers” and in “Lucy” she also kicked some ass and there was no logic involved. But “Under the Skin” is the weirdest and most surreal film she has done so far. Johansson plays a mysterious woman in Scotland, picking a men. She is constantly observed by a motorcyclist. Every time she brings home a guy, they disappear through the floor. Who she is, what she is doing and why she is doing it? No idea. This film is not for everybody.
The viewing experience is very unique. Sober Scotland, the landscapes and then the pretty Johansson. It’s a realistic setting, with everyday Scotsmen and timid acting. The creepy soundtrack and the unexplainable happenings make this into a jaw dropping film. It’s really hard to explain the movie, without having to spoil it. It’s very abstract and it will give you a lot to discuss about. This will scare the average movie goer. It’s more for the more experienced cinema freaks.
Like I stated before, “Under the Skin” is not for everyone. I already thought I was weird and couldn’t really put my finger on it, until we got to the end. But a truly great film experience it is.
